I am Elizaveta Bogachova, undead body, queer identity, a Berlin-based conceptual artist| photographer and Ukrainian refugee of the first wave with mixed origins. My work and I often occupy the liminal space of in-betweenness, shaped by exile, queerness and displacement, situating art in lived experience. Delving into questioning the intricate relationship between medium and materials, I constantly seek new angles in creation and presentation by blending digital and analogue methods. In my practice, I explore themes that deal with perception, identity, placemaking, and the complexities of existence.
I have been part of «Dreams that Wake» at Bardo Projektraum, funded by Karne Kunst , Berlin and «Intelligent Kin», The Berlin New Media Week and Berlin Art Week at Mahalla, Berlin, «InBetweenFires» at Hotel Continental, Berlin and "ON WHEELS" by f-o-r.ro presented by the Romanian Cultural Institute New York at ECO Solidarity NY and The Symposium for New Media + Electronic Art "MANIFEST:IO", Berlin. Had two special screenings in London and Lima.
Currently, working on a PhD proposal after receiving a Master's in Photography at the SRH University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. In order to shape my artistic voice, I did a master's exchange programme at RMIT Melbourne. I have also taken courses in Cinematic Audiovisuals in Odesa, Photography at IED Milano, and completed my BA in Photography in Berlin.
